My sister and now new brother got married on Friday. They wanted their seating chart to be a piece of art that was both read and admired while people mingled and relaxed during the cocktail hour. I was honored to be asked to build the weighted base to hold the glass that was custom printed for them. The whole thing was 6 feet tall and a little bit over 3 feet wide. Usually when I make something for an event I only get to see pictures and hear people liked it. This time it was awesome to be able to actually be there watching people talk about what a great idea it was and how it WAS a piece of art!
