A little while back I was given a pretty big honor(at least in my book). One of my repeated customers and good friends had an old cedar chest that has been in her family for over a hundred years. Because it had been well loved and used over the many years it had seen better days. She was so happy with the custom table I made for her she asked me to refinish it. The end goal I was given was to keep the character(not get rid of every flaw) but "bring it back to life". The chest definitely went through quite a transformation. It really brings me a huge amount of both pride and joy to know that I have been a part of this great family history being able to continue to pass down such a personal and important piece.
