I was asked by a customer to make a montesorri style bed/Playhouse for her daughter. It would be for a twin size mattress, built strong to last and painted white. I wanted to create something that went beyond what other companies have put out(basic, easily breakable, not a lot of detail) so I designed the bed to have windows, siding for the outside and beadboard on the inside for a wainscoting effect while stilling maintaining a feeling of openness.
In the middle of putting the bed/playhouse together(roof wasn’t secured yet) the customer’s daughter was so happy and excited she got right in. She was actually upset when we had to have her come out so she was safe. That is a pretty great compliment.
